Mrs. Guadalupe (Lupe) Hanson has a B.A. in English from the University of Missouri in Kansas City (UMKC), a B.A. in education from Dakota Wesleyan and extensive hours in Spanish from UMKC. Lupe has studied abroad at Universidad de las Humanidades Veracruzana, Mexico, has served as a bilingual Kindergarten teacher at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Kansas City, taught Spanish at Mitchell Catholic Schools in South Dakota and first grade in Letcher Public Schools in South Dakota. She is currently responsible for Programs in Delta Kappa Gamma Epsilon Chapter in Ketchikan, a professional education organization. She participated in the 2008 STEP Science Program at Univ. of Alaska-Fairbanks as well as the 2011 Science Institute in Ketchikan and hopes to become a fellow in that program this winter. She received training in Kagan Cooperative Learning as well. Mrs. Hanson is entering her twelfth year at Holy Name Catholic School. |
