Weekly Spelling Choices Please choose from an activity below.  Please do not do an activity more than once per list.  For example, if you put words in alphabetical order on Monday night, do not repeat that activity until the following week with a different list. * Write the words in alphabetical order. * Make flash cards for each word and use them for studying. * Write or type each word three times. * Take a practice test with a family member or friend, who signs the corrected test. * Write each word in a meaningful sentence. Underline the spelling word.  * Look up 5 words in the dictionary and write all of the meanings for each word. * Use a dictionary to answer the following questions for 5 words. Answer each question using complete sentences.                          1. On what page is the word located?                          2. What are the page's guide words?                          3. How many different meanings does your word have?                          4. What part of speech is your word?                          5. Does your word originate from another language? Spelling List:  Students will be tested on Friday.  If Friday is a holiday, the test will be Thursday.  In the event a student is absent, the test will be given the day the student returns.
